Jillian Michaels is our spotlight nutrition expert of the week. Famous for motivating and training people to lose weight on The Biggest Loser, she has recently come out with a line of DVDs for people to workout to in the comfort of their own homes. The title of the DVD says it all: 30 Day Shred. Jillian claims that by doing circuit type training for 20 minutes a day that you could lose up to 30 lbs in 30 days.
We at Tipsy have decided to give Ms. Michael's DVDs a try. There are 3 levels of intensity in the 30 Day Shred DVD and being out of shape ourselves, we have started on level one. The next day after starting this DVD program, we had some very sore muscles! This DVD definitely works you out. It is non-stop movement for 20 minutes ranging from cardio to abs to strength and more. Although the music is cheesy, Jillian definitely keeps you motivated throughout the DVD.
After 6 days of doing the 30 day shred we have noticed a huge difference in our endurance and even shred (pun intended) a couple of lbs.
We are still doing the 30 day shred everyday for 20 minutes and after a week and noticing results, we will continue the shred as well as some of Michael's other DVD workout programs. We love the fact that this is showing us results and is only 20 minutes a day! If we have time for it, so do you!!!
Tipsy gives this workout program 5 stars for easiness and effectiveness and giving those of us with low attention spans a wide variety to change up the routines!
