A new study done by the Archives of Internal medicine shows that alcohol slows digestive enzymes and inhibits the breakdown of nutrients, so that your body DOES NOT absorb as much food. In fact, women who drink moderately gain less weight than women who never drink. Good to know! So don't feel so bad when having a glass of wine once and a while. 

In fact, Dr. Lu Wang from Medicine at Harvard Medical School says you can have two 5-ounce glasses of red or white wine, 3 ounce glasses of hard liquor OR two bottles of beer daily. "Alcohol can help you maintain a normal weight"-Dr. Wang. 

So ENJOY your drink of choice GUILT FREE. Cheers!
